How To Use Honda Sensing

Honda Sensing System in a Honda Accor

With distractions around every corner, it’s becoming more and more difficult to remain present when behind the wheel. While nothing could ever replace your rapt attention or keeping your eyes on the road as you drive, Honda has installed the standard Honda Sensing safety suite of technology in all of its vehicles. Our Long Island area Honda dealership is here to explain how to use Honda Sensing.

These new Honda vehicles prove how committed Honda is to driver, passenger, and pedestrian safety. The Honda Sensing safety suite contains innovative technologies to help drivers lower the risk of collisions. Here is how to use just some of those exceptional technologies:

How to use Collision Mitigation Braking System (CMBS):

  • Press the safety support switch
  • Roll the left selector wheel to the CMBS symbol and select it.

When CMBS is on, a beep will sound and a message will appear in the multi-information display. The CMBS indicator appears when the system is off.

How to use Lane Keeping Assist (LKAS)

  • Press the main button on the right side of the steering wheel and you will see the LKAS appear on the multi-information screen.
  • Press the LKAS button on the right side of the steering wheel. Once pressed a dotted road outline will appear on the multi-information screen.

LKAS is now on. When the road lines on the multi-information screen turn solid the system is activated. When the lines are outlined it is not activated.

How to use Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC):
